King Abdullah orders pardon for prisoners of conscience

Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz reported today that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has ordered the pardon and release of a number of prisoners of conscience: Abdullah Al-Hamid, Matrouk Al-Faleh, Ali Al-Domaini, and Saeed bin Zu'eer. He has also ordered the release of Abdulrahman Al-Lahim, who is awaiting trial. Prince Nayef observed that forgiveness and mercy are acknowledged characteristics of King Abdullah.

Meanwhile, at today’s Council of Ministers meeting, King Abdullah announced the pardon of two Libyans detained in the Kingdom for their involvement, testified to by confirmed evidence, in a conspiracy against the Kingdom's stability and security.
