Saudi-based organization donates U.S. $250,000 to Katrina relief

The Riyadh-based Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND) pledged on Sunday to donate U.S. $250,000 to relief efforts to assist the children harmed by Hurricane Katrina, Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, head of AGFUND, announced in Riyadh today.  AGFUND is a regional developmental organization launched by Prince Talal in 1980 and with the support of the Arab Gulf states that constitute its membership and contribute to its budget.
