Railways to link Jeddah airport to Makkah and Medinah

The new King Abdulaziz International Airport will be connected to Makkah and Medinah by railway, Abdullah Rahaimy, director of the General Authority of Civil Aviation announced in a press conference in Jeddah yesterday while touring the Hajj Terminal.  Mr. Rahaimy said two railroad stations will be built in the new airport to help facilitate flow of pilgrims between Jeddah and the holy cities of Makkah and Medinah.  The construction of the two stations at the airport are being planned in cooperation with the Saudi Railway Organization.
