Prince Saud comments on Iraq, Syria to reporters

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal expressed his optimism about the improving situation in Iraq, particularly after Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa’s efforts and the favorable response of Iraqis.

Speaking to reporters during his meeting with Moussa in Jeddah today, Prince Saud indicated his satisfaction with Syria’s positive response to the UN investigation into the killing of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Al-Hariri, a response that should be taken into consideration by the UN. Syria has agreed to the investigations, and the process should be allowed to take its course, he said. Prince Saud also said that the Arab League Secretary-General would visit Syria.
