Women to make up half of participants at next National Dialogue conference

Woman will make up half of the sixty intellectuals and academics who are going to participate in the Third National Dialogue Forum, to be held in Madinah in April, Rashed Al-Shareef, deputy director of the National Dialogue Center told the Saudi daily Okaz today.

The first national dialogue forum was held in Riyadh in June 2003, and the second concluded in Makkah on December 31, 2003 with a call for an end to discrimination among citizens and proposals to fight extremism. The aim of the forums is to promote discourse as a constructive way of life in Saudi Arabia.
