Praise for decision to make Civil Aviation autonomous

Former Head of the Presidency of Civil Aviation and now President of the Civil Aviation Commission (CAC) Abdullah bin Muhammad Nour Rahimi today praised yesterday’s decision by the Council of Ministers to transform the organization into an independent commission, saying that this gives it greater financial and administrative flexibility, in line with the country's policy of promoting productive sectors. He commented that the Kingdom’s civil aviation sector has great importance, with a direct impact on economic and social development, and that the Cabinet decision will enable it to become a viable industry with all the features of global dynamism notably swift development and a high level of competitiveness.
