Prince Bandar comments on U.S. Senator’s speech

Ambassador to the United States Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz has affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to work for progress and preservation of peace in the Middle East, and expressed its readiness to work along with the international community to achieve these goals. He made these observations in a statement on Monday while commenting on an address by Chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Richard Lugar (Rep./Indiana) which was delivered that morning at the Brookings Institute in Washington DC under the title ‘A new partnership for the Greater Middle East: combating terrorism and building peace’. Prince Bandar praised Lugar's viewpoint that reforms, while necessary, cannot have permanence if imposed from abroad.
