Riyadh’s Islamic University to hold conference on terrorism

The Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh is to organize on April 20-22, 2004, an international conference on Islam and terrorism. Participants will exchange views on the roots and causes of terrorism as well as how to eradicate it. It is hoped that the participants will be able to refute false allegations about the Kingdom’s position on terrorism, and clarify that Islam, a religion of moderation and tolerance, has nothing to do with terrorism and violence. Participants are expected from the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, Japan, and India as well as the Kingdom. Although the medium of communication will be Arabic, there will be simultaneous translation in English for foreign delegates.
