Tourism commission signs MoUs on sports, education, and pilgrimage

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of the Supreme Commission for Tourism (SCT), today chaired its tenth meeting, which was attended by Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Met’eb bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz; General President of Youth Welfare Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz; and SCT’s Secretary-General Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. Under review were SCT’s plans and projects to be executed this year in planning, organization, investment and marketing. The Board approved re-formation of the Board's preparatory committee for a second term; and also approved the strategy of tourist information in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Prince Sultan bin Salman has signed three memoranda of understanding: with Prince Sultan bin Fahd on integration between the tourist industry and the sports sector; with Minister of Education Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Rasheed on partnership between SCT and the Ministry; and with Minister of Pilgrimage Iyad Madani on cooperation in matters pertaining to companies offering Hajj and Umrah services.
