Prince Salman, Prince Me'teb register to vote for municipal elections

Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh region and Prince Me'teb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, registered today for the upcoming municipal elections.

In a press statement, Prince Salman said that the current election is an extension of the past, noting that the first election was conducted in Riyadh in 1964.  Prince Salman stressed that reform has been continuing in this country, indicating that all countries seek for continual reform to develop their societies.   The Prince Salman added that the municipal councils will serve citizens such as other councils and bodies.

On Saturday, Prince Miteb opened the fourth periodic gathering for improving performance of municipal departments.   This year's gathering will discuss the topic of municipal councils' elections.   Addressing the meeting, Prince Miteb said the process of voters' registration for municipal councils' elections is going as planned.
