Crown Prince opens conference on Islam and terrorism

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz opened in Riyadh today the three-day international conference on ‘Islam's stand against terrorism, violence and extremism’ organized by the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He also inaugurated the first phase of the faculty housing project and laid foundation stones for the girls’ university city, and for two new colleges: language and translation, and computer and information technology.

In his address, Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari said the conference aims to highlight the Kingdom's fight to eradicate terrorism and its efforts to fortify Saudi society against its evils and destructive effects. University Rector Dr. Mohammed bin Saad Al-Salim commented that about 200 Muslim scholars and thinkers from all over the world are taking part in the conference.
