Prince Nayef affirms strength of Kingdom’s security

Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz has affirmed that the Kingdom’s security forces will be able to exterminate any deviant group, saying their morale is high and they are ready to confront acts of terrorism. The deviants, he declared, “have been brain-washed” to carry out terrorist acts, which are condemned by all religious scholars. Prince Nayef gave assurances that the situation is under control, and that economic activities in Saudi Arabia have not been affected.

Prince Nayef made these remarks upon his arrival in Kuwait last night to take part in the consultative meeting of the interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is expected to sign a security agreement among the GCC states for combating terrorism. In 1998, the League of Arab States signed a similar agreement. The GCC agreement will be more comprehensive, and include positive aspects to assist security officers in their task.
