National Dialogue Forum on women’s rights held in Madinah

The Third National Dialogue Forum concluded today in Madinah. The three-day forum on the topic ‘Woman's Rights, Duties and Education’ was chaired by Shaikh Saleh bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein, General President of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, who in his inaugural address commented on the clearly defined status of women in Islam. In a press conference today deputy chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Salih Al-Obaid read a statement issued by the 70 participants, half of them women, outlining a number of recommendations to be submitted to Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. These recommendations underline the importance of women enjoying all their rights as guaranteed by Islam and in accordance with all religious teachings.
