Commerce minister in Tunis for Saudi-Tunisian talks

Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hashim Yamani, who is heading the Saudi delegation to the seventh round of talks of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Commission, met separately here today with Tunisian Industry and Energy Minister Fathi Mourad and the Tunisian Commerce Minister Munzer Alzanayde. Dr Yamani stressed the importance of enhancing Saudi-Tunisian economic cooperation, commenting that the volume of trade exchange in 2002 was less than SR 145 million [U.S. $ 38.72 million], and that currently, thanks to the role of the Saudi-Tunisian Investment Company, Saudi investments in Tunisian projects have exceeded SR 600 million [$ 160.2 million].
