A number of surgeons, Saudi as well as international, will conduct 20 surgical operations as demonstrations during a conference on ‘Minimally Invasive, Laparoscopic, Robotic Surgery: Surgery of the 21st Century’ organized by the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh on September 20-22. The surgeries will be telecast live through satellite to Italy, Canada and the United States as well as throughout the Kingdom.

Over 100 research papers are expected to be presented, covering fields such as thoracic, pediatric, and endocrine surgery; cardiology, gynecology, urology and renal transplantation; and cosmetic operations. Attending the conference will be surgeons from 17 countries including the United States, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Norway, Italy, Belgium, Brazil and India in addition to a number of Arab and Muslim countries including Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen and Bahrain.
