Islamic Prize attracts large number of entries

Dr Sa'ed Al-Orabi Al-Harthi, Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Secretary-General of the Prince Nayef International Prize for Contemporary Islamic Studies on the Sayings and Deeds of the Prophet, announced today that a total of 241 entries had been received from a number of countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, India, Uzbekistan, France, Belgium, and the United States of America. Of these, he said, 133 had been rejected as ineligible. The remaining 108 research studies will be adjudicated by an international panel.
