Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz today sent a cable of congratulations to U.S. President George W. Bush on the occasion of his re-election for a second term in office. In his cable, King Fahd reaffirmed the distinguished and historical relations that exist between the two countries and their peoples, which serve outstanding international issues and peace and security all over the world particularly in the Middle East.

Crown Prince Abdullah sent a similar cable, in which he expressed the hope that the continued cooperation between the two countries would have mutual benefits for all, and serve global peace and stability, especially in achieving a peaceful and lasting solution to the Palestinian and Iraqi issues, and in the war on terrorism.

Prince Sultan also sent a cable, wishing for the continuation of the cooperation between the two countries and for the spread of peace and brotherhood throughout the world.

The Saudi leaders wished President Bush every success, and prosperity to the people of the United States.
