Eleven killed in terrorist attack on Riyadh residential complex

The Interior Ministry has announced that the attack early this morning on the Al-Muhaya residential complex in Riyadh resulted in the death of 11 people, including four children, and injuries to 122 others. The fatalities included Sudanese and Egyptian nationals as well as Saudis. The injured come from a number of different countries: Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Canada, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, the Philippines, Romania, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Turkey and the United States.  All except 25 of the injured have been discharged from hospital after treatment. The Al-Muhaya complex, located in the west of the city of Riyadh, was subjected at midnight to attack by armed terrorists and a car loaded with explosives.
