Relief airlift to Iran continues

Two more Saudi Arabian relief planes have departed for Iran carrying 125 tons of relief supplies, mostly tents and blankets. On board is a medical team to staff a Saudi field hospital for the victims of the powerful earthquake which hit the southeastern Iranian city of Bam last Friday.  The total Saudi relief supplies sent to Iran so far exceeds 275 tons.  Last night the GCC agreed to provide Iran with U.S. $400 million in reconstruction aid for the devastated city of Bam.
