The Ministry of Pilgrimage has announced that Saudi missions worldwide have issued over 1.3 million visas for the upcoming 1423 Hajj. Four percent of the pilgrims from overseas will come by sea, and three percent overland, with the rest arriving by air.

Meanwhile, there is a project to distribute to the crowds during the Day of Standing at Arafat, kits containing soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, in addition to bottles of water; and the Mayor of the City of Makkah, Dr. Khaled Nuhas, has given assurances that the municipality is deploying some 14,000 employees to keep the Holy City clean during the Hajj season.
