Shura Council endorses control mechanisms for the economy

The Consultative Council (Majlis Al-Shura), in its regular meeting on Sunday, passed a resolution endorsing the application of Saudization controls to companies working in the Kingdom, including those owned by Saudi Aramco or implementing its projects. The council also endorsed opening up investment in the gas sector to competing Saudi and international companies in order to create the most appropriate atmosphere for selection in the country's best interests. In its session today, the Shura Council discussed the formulation of a unified mechanism for offices being set up in the Kingdom by industrial countries for the promotion of commercial, industrial, technical and investment exchange.
