King Fahd approves project for expansion of universities

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz has approved a number of resolutions adopted by the Council of Higher Education at its 27th session, including the establishment of a College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the Taif branch of the Umm Al-Qur'a University, and a College of Nursing at the Dammam campus of King Faisal University. Other resolutions include transforming the department of agricultural engineering at the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science at the Qassim branch of King Saud University into a College of Engineering to comprise departments of computer science, and electrical, mechanical, and civil as well as agricultural engineering. There will also be a merger of the department of physics with the department of astronomy at King Saud University, and a department of translation will be established at King Khaled University's English Language Institute
