Human rights conference planned for September in Riyadh

The Saudi Red Crescent Society announced today plans to hold a conference on international law and human rights in Riyadh in September 2003. The Society's Chairman, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem, explained that the theme of the conference will be human rights during peace and war, from an Islamic perspective. The conference, in which the interior, foreign and justice ministries will take part, reflects the momentum of the call for reform addressed by the Saudi government.
