Kingdom to import buses from South Korea

In what has been described as a "major boost" to the growing commercial links between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, KIA Motors Corporation has signed an agreement to export 2,500 buses to the Kingdom at a cost of some SR562 million [U.S. $ 150 million]. The buses, which will be used for school transportation systems as well as for general transportation, will be made available in two stages: the first delivery of 1,000 in December this year, with the remaining 1,500 to be delivered by December 2004.
