Prince Saud praises decision on Iraq at Arab ministers meeting in Cairo

In a statement prior to leaving Cairo today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal declared that the decision concerning Iraq that has been issued by the League of Arab States at the 120th meeting of its foreign ministers, is of the greatest importance. The Arab foreign ministers invited Iraq's transitional Governing Council to attend today's meetings, and to occupy Iraq's seat at all Arab League meetings for a period of one year until a national government is formed in that country. Prince Saud indicated that there will shortly be another decision concerning Palestine.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the perpetrator of an incident involving Prince Saud following the consultative meeting yesterday has been detained by Egyptian security. No harm was caused by the incident.
