Crown Prince Abdullah arrived in Kuala Lumpur yesterday at the start of a two-day official visit to Malaysia, prior to leading the Saudi delegation to the Tenth Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) to be held in the city of Putrajaya October 16-18. He was met at the airport by Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Muhammad and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi, with whom he held talks on the latest international developments, notably the situation in Iraq and the Palestinian issue. These talks were resumed later, focusing on the sufferings of the Palestinian people and their leadership resulting from Israel's ferocious actions such as the killing and displacement of Palestinians and the destruction of their homes and infrastructure. Both sides were in agreement on the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Al-Quds [East Jerusalem] as its capital.
