Two terrorist suspects killed in raid in Makkah

The Interior Ministry has announced that in Makkah early this morning a terrorist plot was successfully averted. At 8:00 a.m. today, security forces surrounded two locations in the Al-Shara'ei district of the city of Makkah. When the suspects began shooting with machine guns and throwing hand grenades, the security forces returned the fire, and silenced them. They then tried to flee in two cars. In the attempt, two of the suspects were killed. There were no casualties among passersby or the security forces, except for one minor injury. At the locations were found items such as machine guns, pistols and hand grenades, in addition to passports, identity cards and pamphlets. A quantity of weapons and bombs was found in the cars, and the rest of the fugitives are under pursuit.
