Prince Saud Al-Faisal in Sudan to sign agreement

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal arrived in Khartoum today on an official visit to the Republic of Sudan, during which he will hold talks with Sudanese officials on bilateral relations and sign a cooperation agreement between the two countries. The agreement will cover the areas of the economy, commerce, investment, technology, culture, youth and sports, and will encourage educational, scientific and technological cooperation as well as enhancing trade exchanges and investments by citizens and companies. The volume of trade between Saudi Arabia and Sudan amounted to SR4.2 billion [U.S. $1.1 billion] over the period from 1996 to 2000.
