IIRO continues to give assistance to African states

The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) has reported that from September 19, 2001 to September 8, 2002 (corresponding to the Hijrah year from Rajab 1, 1422 to Jumada II 30, 1423) the organization disbursed a total of SR34,135,358 [U.S. $9,114,915] to 25 African states. This assistance covered everything from religious awareness programs to medical care and the provision of clothing and shelter. IIRO Secretary-General Dr. Adnan bin Khalil Basha pointed out that in the interest of enlightened generations that will benefit their countries, IIRO also provides an education program specializing in psychology and sociology as well as technology.
