Prince Sultan calls for private investment in education

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz has called on businessmen to look into the economic feasibility of investing in the proposed Prince Sultan College in Taif, and invited them to a meeting in Jeddah on September 1 to discuss the project. Prince Sultan, who is President of the new college, announced that the foundation stone will be laid in October this year, and the first batch of students admitted in September 2003. The first phase of the project will include four faculties: Nursing, Health Management, Health Information Management and a Medical School. The academic curricula for these faculties, submitted for approval to the Ministry of Higher Education, has been devised by a team of experts from the University of Arizona in the United States as well as the College of Health Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain and a number of Saudi universities.
