Saudi Ambassador extends condolences to America

As America marks the first anniversary of the terrible events of September 11, 2001, the people of Saudi Arabia offer their deepest condolences to America, especially to the families of those who were lost in the attacks.

As Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan has said:  “No words can express our feelings of sorrow and loss for the innocents who were taken on that fateful day.  But with God’s help, we can move forward together to rid the world of the scourge of terrorism and find peace and stability for all people.  The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to stand as a friend and ally and as an active partner in the global coalition that will soon root out the Al-Qaeda network.

“I have always been impressed by the strength and resilience of the American people but never more moved than by what I have seen over this past year.”

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has repeatedly and unequivocally condemned terrorism and has rejected the acts of Al-Qaeda as a crime against all humanity.
