MWL delegation in France refutes link with Al-Qaeda

Secretary-General of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) Dr Abdullah Al-Turki, at a press conference today in Lyon, commented on the MWL delegation's visit to France, reiterating that Islam advocates cooperation, tolerance and openness with followers of other divine religions. He urged members of Muslim communities in France to respect and adhere to French regulations, and by the same token urged followers of the other religions to respect Saudi regulations, noting that non-Muslim expatriates in the Kingdom are able to perform their rituals in the privacy of their residences, embassies or consulates. Dr Al-Turki went on to refute the false allegations in certain U.S. media that the MWL cooperates with al-Qaeda, saying these are baseless and biased reports.
