Prince Sultan tours MBC-TV on visit to Dubai

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, who is currently on a private visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), today toured the new headquarters of the Arab TV station MBC in Dubai. At a press conference afterwards, Prince Sultan commented that the Kingdom gives top priority to the interests of the Arab and Islamic worlds, observing that Saudi Arabia cannot sacrifice its position as the cradle of Islam and the direction of prayers five times a day for over one billion Muslims, and pointing out that it has survived ordeals in the past. On the current Iraqi crisis, he declared that there should be no opposition to the United Nations or the Security Council's resolutions, but "what is most important for us the interest of our country, and then the interests of Muslims and Arabs". Prince Sultan confirmed that Saudi-U.S. relations are very good, and that the Arab bloc is proceeding in the right direction and will overcome all crises.
