KSU conference on King Fahd's 20 years on throne

On behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz inaugurated in Riyadh today the international conference organized by King Saud University on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the accession to the throne of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz. The Crown Prince's speech, read by Prince Salman, highlighted the King's great attributes and achievements and reviewed the main features and accomplishments of his reign, in particular his efforts to promote peace and serve Arab and Muslim causes.

In his speech, Minister of State, cabinet member and head of the cabinet bureau Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz he announced the establishment of the King Fahd International Translation Center, and a prize in King Fahd's name for the promotion of Arab and Islamic knowledge, to show appreciation of the efforts of innovative scientists and to honor persons and institutions promoting international peace.
Following a ceremony during which the university bestowed on King Fahd an honorary Doctorate in Politics and Government, Prince Salman opened an exhibit held in conjunction with the conference, and launched an internet site on King Fahd (www.kingfahdbinabdulaziz.com).
