Kingdom marks International Health Day

Saudi Arabia will mark International Health Day, Saturday April 7, along with many other countries. Minister of Health Dr. Osama Shobokshi, referring to this year's slogan of greater attention to those suffering from psychiatric problems, stated that the Kingdom, through implementation of Shari'ah [Islamic law] has inherent protection from such problems. These, he explained, become chronic due to lack of a deep belief in God, adding that proper Islamic training is essential for the cohesion of the Muslim family, and of society itself. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Health, he said, is fully prepared to extend help to any person suffering from such problems, and warned against resorting to quacks and imposters for treatment.
