Crown Prince receives religious scholars

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today received a number of religious scholars, including Grand Mufti Shaikh Abdulaziz Al-Ashaikh, chairman of the Higher Judiciary Council Shaikh Salih Al-Luheidan, Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Al-Ashaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Shaikh Salih Al-Ashaikh, members of the senior ulema (religious scholars), and a number of court officials. Also present was Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz.

Congratulating the gathering on the upcoming start of Ramadan [on November 16], Crown Prince Abdullah wished Muslims worldwide success and prosperity during the Holy Month.  He then gave a briefing on the talks he had held with U.S. President George W. Bush. "We must be patient", he said, "and you must clarify to your brothers in good words since you are now the target of the enemies of the Islamic faith.''
