IATA regional committee meets in Jeddah

At the annual three-day meeting of the regional committee of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that was held in Jeddah, hosted by Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA), a number of recommendations were made for improvement of passenger services, with topics covered including regulations on transportation of deported persons. A working team, comprised of representatives from the Arab Air Transport Federation, SAA, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and EgyptAir, was set up to formulate a memorandum of understanding on cooperation at Arab airports between aviation companies and passports authorities.  A seminar will be arranged in Cairo later this year to review facilities that might be extended to passengers.
