GCC Consultative Summit in Manama

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz returned from Manama, Bahrain today after heading Saudi Arabia's delegation to the 3rd Consultative Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Other leaders who participated in the one-day biennial meeting were Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhai and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and Omani Deputy Prime Minister Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Saeed. The meeting was chaired by Emir of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, who issued a press statement on the success of arrangements taken so far to implement the economic agreement for unifying GCC customs tariffs. He also commended the endorsement of the unified defense agreement signed during the last regular Summit in Bahrain.
