Saudi Arabia and Iran sign MoU on higher education

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed in Tehran today a memorandum of understanding in the fields of scientific research and higher education. The five-year MOU covers several aspects, notably the exchange of documents, scientific themes, delegations and specialists in the areas of higher education, technology, and scientific research, and cultural programs such as week-long events, symposiums and book fairs. Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Angary, who signed the MOU for Saudi Arabia, noted that the visit had given him the opportunity to inform himself on scientific centers and universities in Iran. He stressed the need for effective, positive and constructive cooperation in all technological fields to achieve the desire of the leaderships of the two countries for establishing strong relations in general and scientific cooperation in particular.
