Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz opened in Riyadh today a conference on the Kingdom's economy and finance organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and National Economy and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA). In the speech of Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, read by Prince Salman on his behalf, the Crown Prince affirmed that the government has been giving support to the growth of the private sector, and as a result of this policy, the private sector has contributed to the increase in the Kingdom's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Minister of Finance and National Economy Ibrahim Al-Assaf said this conference would deal extensively in ways of promoting financial operations in the Kingdom, and put up proposals for future financial mechanisms for boosting Saudi Arabia's economic development.
