King Fahd orders relief committee for Afghan refugees

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz has ordered the formation of a relief committee for Afghan refugees under the supervision of Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz. The committee will be in charge of collecting donations and providing urgent aid to the refugees. Prince Nayef urged citizens and residents to give donations for the Afghan refugees. Meanwhile, relief planes continue to leave Riyadh for Islamabad and Peshawar in Pakistan, carrying relief supplies for the Afghan refugees.

King Fahd arrived in Jeddah yesterday on his way to Makkah to spend the last days of the blessed month of Ramadan there.
