Arab foreign ministers to hold extraordinary meeting

The foreign ministers of the League of Arab States will hold an extraordinary meeting next week to review the latest regional and international developments. The meeting will take place in Doha on Wednesday, October 10, on the fringes of the scheduled ministerial conference of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). A press report published today in Amman, Jordan, revealed that a delegation of Islamic foreign ministers is expected to be sent to Afghanistan to exchange views on the latest developments following the September 11 terror attacks on New York and Washington. The Doha meeting will provide a good opportunity for the Arabs and Muslims to clarify their stance on the issue of terrorism and to remove any misunderstanding in this respect.
