The Director of Police of the Eastern Province today issued a report on the nationalities of those killed or injured in an explosion that took place in Al-Khobar yesterday evening in front of a shop selling watches and accessories. Two people were killed and four others injured in the blast. One of the dead is an American, Michael Gerald Martin. The identity of the other has not yet been determined. The injured (another American, a Briton, and two Filipinos) were hospitalized, and are all reported to be in satisfactory condition.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received a telephone call from U.S. President George W. Bush, who deplored the explosion, and expressed pain and sorrow over the victims of this criminal incident.
