SCT head addresses OIC tourism meetings in Malaysia

Secretary-General of the Supreme Commission for Tourism (SCT) Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz today addressed the meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, of those responsible for tourism in the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). He affirmed that Muslim countries are looking forward to the establishment of a tourism sector that reflects Islamic civilization and culture, adding: "Tourism should not serve merely as an economic resource, for profit, but should also focus on ways of fostering cohesion among all peoples and civilizations".  Yesterday Prince Sultan bin Salman was received by Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Muhammad, with whom he discussed tourism cooperation between the two Islamic countries.
