Funding for Palestinian projects continues

During its second meeting yesterday at the headquarters of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) under the chairmanship of the Kingdom's representative Yusuf Al-Bassam, the administrative committee for the Al-Aqsa and Intifada funds allocated U.S. $37.50 million for the financing of new projects in the Palestinian territories, and approved a program for urgent assistance to students at Palestinian universities.

Meanwhile, Secretary-General of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsin Al-Turki yesterday appealed to all Islamic governments and peoples to continue to stand by the Palestinians, decrying Israel's deceitful actions that are preventing a solution that would restore to them their legitimate rights and citing the Zionists' insistence on keeping the Al-Aqsa mosque and the city of Al-Quds [Jerusalem] under Israeli control.
