Opening of 16th Jenadriyah Festival

On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today opened the 16th Festival of Culture and Heritage at Jenadriyah that is organized each year by the National Guard. Attending the opening ceremonies were Emir of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and a number of other distinguished guests from overseas. Following the traditional camel race, and after evening prayers, National Guard Undersecretary Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sobait, on behalf of Assistant Deputy Commander of the National Guard Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulmohsin Al-Tuweijeri, presented the customary National Guard Speech.

Crown Prince Abdullah then honored the Personality of the 16th Festival, Abdulkareem Al-Johaiman, with the King Abdulaziz Medal, third class. He also honored the first winners of the annual prize for distinguished businessmen, with the King Abdulaziz Medal, first class. The six winners are: Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi, Prince Sultan bin Muhammad bin Saud Al-Kabeer, Omar bin Sulaiman Al-Abdullatif, Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Jomaih, Ahmad bin Yusif Zainal Ali Rida and Hamad bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Zamil.
