Prince Bandar inaugurates investment forum in Houston

Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the United States of America, yesterday inaugurated in Houston, Texas, a forum on foreign investment opportunities available in various fields in the Kingdom, organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry [http://www.saudichambers.org.sa]. Prince Bandar formally welcomed as an honored guest former U.S. President George Bush, who addressed the forum.

Chairman of the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council Abdulaziz Al-Qureshi expressed the council's readiness to facilitate cooperation between businessmen in the two countries. Secretary-General of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry Osama Al-Kurdi briefed the forum on investment opportunities in the kingdom in various fields,
The forum's sessions began with a symposium on investments in the power sector, chaired by Minister of Industry and Electricity Dr. Hashim Yamani, who stressed the Kingdom's desire to expand this sector and make it available to both Saudi and foreign investors.
