Hospital suing tobacco companies

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh is suing international tobacco companies and their Saudi agents for spreading lung cancer, treatment for which is estimated to have cost the hospital around U.S. $5 billion over the past few decades. Executive Director-General of KFSH Dr. Anwar Abdulmajeed Jabarti, referring to similar litigation that has been filed in the United States and Europe, urged other local and Arab hospitals to do likewise.
