King Faisal University (KFU) announced today that the Second Conference of the Faculties of Medicine of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states will be held at its Dammam campus on November 16, 2000. The conference will discuss trends and issues in medical education in the region, suggest a perspective on its future, and make recommendations on the needs of health care professionals. The first such conference was held in Kuwait in April, 1999.
Yesterday, KFU announced that a conference on the economies of the GCC member states will be held at its Hofuf campus from February 13-15, 2001, with the title of 'Opportunities of the 21st Century'. A number of foreign as well as Arab universities are expected to take part, in addition to businessmen from many parts of the world.
