Official statement issued on helicopter crash

The Ministry of Defense and Aviation has announced that a 'Cougar' helicopter of the Saudi Royal Air Force crashed at 03:30 this morning at Qasim regional airport. The helicopter was on its way to rescue stranded flood victims when it crashed due to bad weather. Seven military personnel, including three officers, were killed in the crash.  The victims were identified as Mohammed Abdullah Al-Shihri, Faisal Bin Hamoud Al-Ahmadi, Abdullah Mohammed Kahl, Adel Bin Abdullah Al-Ghamidi, Abdullah Bin Ghanim Al-Sameeri, Khalid Bin Mohammed Assiri, and Mani Bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani.
